10 Fun Things to do in Louisville During the Fall: #3 Take the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Tour

With fall upon us, I would like to devote a series of blog posts to interesting things that you can do during the Fall in Louisville. Without further ado I would like to present:

#3 - Explore the Kentucky Bourbon Trail

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is made up of six distilleries along a trail of some of the best scenery Kentucky has to offer - especially in the fall! The six member distilleries are the Four Roses Distillery, Heaven Hill Visitors Center, Jim Beam Distillery, Maker's Mark Distillery, Wild Turkey Distillery, and the Woodford Reserve Distillery.

Going on the whole Bourbon Trail can take up to two days - but it is a great experience for any bourbon fan/drinker. The tours last about an hour and a half in each distillery and visitors get to do a bourbon tasting at the end of each tour. All the tours are free except the Woodford Reserve Distillery which costs $5. To complete the bourbon trail, participants must collect stamps at each distillery and then mail their 'passport' to the Kentucky Distillers’ Association to get a free t-shirt.
