10 Fun Things to do in Louisville During the Fall: #7 Go to the 'Worlds Largest Halloween Party' at the Zoo
With fall upon us, I would like to devote a series of blog posts to interesting things that you can do during the Fall in Louisville. Without further ado I would like to present:
#7 - Go to the 'Worlds Largest Halloween Party' at the Zoo
The Louisville Zoo was founded in 1969 in the Poplar Level neighborhood. The Louisville Zoo is Kentucky's state zoo and houses over 1,300 animals in different species biomes: 'The Louisville Zoo has six geographic settings within the zoo: The Islands, African Veldt, Asian Plains, North and South America Panorama, Aquatics and the Australian Outback.
In October the Zoo holds 'The World's Largest Halloween Party' which is one of the largest halloween themed events in the country. This event gives families a chance to see the zoo while interacting with costumed characters and 15 storybook scenes throughout the park. There is also trick-or-treating for kids 11 and under.
