Clifton Center’s Third Annual Give-A-Jam to End Homelessness
The Christmas and Holiday seasons are a time for celebration and making memories with your family and friends. All to often, it is along the paths we take to making those memories the best yet, that we get caught up in a whirlwind that can easily take the true joy out of the season. Instead of focusing on the things that matter most, we become frazzled from the business of shopping, attending our children’s events and maintaining our busy social calendars. The best dose of medicine to remedy this problem could be to pamper yourself with a little “me time.”
Nothing rejuvenates the tired soul like a fun night out on the town with that special someone or close friend in your life. But wait, you’ve been so busy that you don’t even know what to consider? The Clifton Center may just have the answer you’re looking for. The Clifton Center is well known for their support of the arts, community celebrations and non-profit organizations. This holiday season they are partnering with local musicians and restaurants to support the Coalition for the Homeless. On Thursday December 19th at 6:00 p.m., their doors will open to the third annual Give-A-Jam to End Homelessness. Not only can you support the Coalition and help the homeless in your own community, you can also enjoy a night out on the town during this busy holiday season! Who doesn’t need that right now?
Give-A-Jam to End Homelessness will feature local musicians such as The Bibelhauser Brothers, Steve Cooley, Tyrone Cotton and Joan Shelley, just to name a few. If that isn’t enough to get you dancing, there will also be a silent auction, cash bar and food from great local restaurants. What a great evening, and to top it off you will be making a difference in your community! Everyone involved, from the Clifton Center, to the musicians and restaurants, will be donating their time and support to the Coalition for the Homeless. All proceeds will support the Coalition’s Rx: Housing Project.
The Clifton Center is located at 2117 Payne St., Louisville, KY 40206. Event admission is $10.00 at the door. For an admission price of $20.00 you will receive a $12.00 credit for food and a drink voucher. This event could be just what you need to rejuvinate and get into the holiday spirit! For more information and a detailed list of musicians performing, you can check out the Clifton Center's website at www.cliftoncenter.org.
