Events in Louisville February 20th to 22nd

The weekend is just a few days away, and it is the part of the week which one looks forward to the most. Don’t know how to use your time this coming weekend? Here are some of the events happening in Louisville February 20th to the 22nd.

One of the featured events this Friday, February 20th is the Lewis Black Tour which will be stopping over in Louisville for one night. It will start at 8:00 pm at the Louisville Palace, located at 625 South Fourth Street. Ticket price is $80.00. This will be a night of laughter thanks to one of the most famous comedians and actor in the United States. Lewis Black is known for his angry face and most applaud for his comedy and style.  If you are looking for a little mystery on a Saturday night, then join these thrill seekers on America’s largest murder mystery comedy dinner show! In The Dinner Detective® Murder Mystery Show, you’ll have the chance to solve a murder case while you fill up your stomach with a four-course plated dinner. The Top Sleuth of the evening will receive a prize package, but beware; everyone here is a suspect, including you. The ticket prices are $56.95 - $59.95 per person, additional taxes and fees may apply. The search for the suspect will be held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Louisville located at 830 Phillips Lane. The suspense dinner show will start at 6:00 pm and end at 9:00 pm.

If your energy is still at its highest level after solving the mystery, consider joining the Neon Lights Festival: The Spiritual Journey. It’s an underground rave party with lots of glow sticks and of course neon lights. The event will be featuring Dj Optimix Prime, AXL RICH and more. It’s an 18+ event and the ticket price is $20.00 at the door. The party will take place in Millers Lane Center at 2501 Millers Ln. Doors open at 11:00 pm and close at 3:00 am.

Before you solve any mysteries or attend the neon lights festival on Saturday night, February 21, take your kids or your little siblings to the Louisville Nature Center at 3745 Illinois Ave., for the Story Walk in Louisville. The good thing about this is it’s for free and it’s open to everyone! You can experience reading a good book while walking and getting in touch with nature’s artwork.  Bundle up an enjoy the beautiful nature center in the snow! For this walk, you will be reading “In a Nutshell” by Joseph Anthony and Cris Arbo. The walk will start at 10:30 am and will wrap up at 3:00 pm. You still have enough time to get ready for solving a good mystery afterwards!

After a night of loud music and strobe lights, spend your Sunday at the University of Louisville at 2301 S. 3rd St. Treat your ears as you listen to Paul York and Dror Brian perform in Comstock Hall on February 22nd at 3:00pm. Listen to them play the cello and piano respectively.  A General Admission ticket is $15.00 while students with ID only need to pay $5.00 for the tickets. A classic never fails to soothe your nerves and calm your soul.
