Highview Holiday Fest 2013

It doesn't matter where you live in Louisville--in the month of December, there should be several holiday-themed events that aren't too far away from you. For example, if you live anywhere near Downtown Louisville, you'll probably want to check out Light Up Louisville. If you're closer to the Highlands, then Bardstown Road Aglow will be drawing many of your neighbors to Bardstown Road. Those who live in St. Matthews can visit the Light Up St. Matthews event in Brown Park.

These are only a handful of the events planned for December to celebrate the holidays, and of course even more will be announced as we head out of November and into December. What if you live in the Okolona and Highview areas of Louisville? Well, don't worry, because no one's forgotten about you. If you'd rather not travel to some other neighborhood to celebrate the holidays, then you can celebrate right in your own area of town. The Highview Holiday Fest on December 6th should provide plenty of fun and entertainment for you and your whole family!

As with many of the great holiday events in Louisville, attending the Highview Holiday Fest is totally free. It's kind of funny how that works out--the best events don't cost you anything at all. There will be so much to do at the Highview Holiday Fest, which will be held at the Central Government Center and the surrounding Highview Park. Something that represents the holidays for a lot of people are carolers, and you'll definitely find them singing their hearts out at this event. Want to enter a Christmas tree decorating contest? You can do that too! As with many other events around Louisville this December, the actual Santa himself will be popping in for a visit. It's only fair that if he's visiting all the other areas of town he should visit Highview as well! Plus, if the thought of a nighttime carriage ride through Highview Park interests you, then this is certainly the event to attend. With carolers, Santa, and winter carriage rides (not to mention that it's all free!), the Highview Holiday Fest is sure to draw in plenty of crowds this year.

The Highview Holiday Fest on December 6th will begin at 6 PM and is scheduled to end somewhere around 8. For more information on the Highview Holiday Fest including other planned attractions, just visit the following link: http://www.highviewbusiness.org/.

The Central Government Center can be found at 7201 Outer Loop.
