Local Go-Kart Tracks to Visit on Spring Break
Spring Break is finally here for many local counties! While some families may go out of town for Spring Break, Louisville has plenty to keep your family entertained. If you’re looking to bring out the Nascar driver inside of you, check out one of Louisville’s Go-Kart tracks this week! Don’t let the rain scare you away, there’s even a local indoor track.
Bluegrass Indoor Karting
Don’t be fooled, this isn’t your average go-kart facility. Bluegrass Indoor Karting is known for their high speed karts and challenging track. Each driver wears a racing helmet to ensure safety. 1,000 feet of track includes tight turns and straight stretches to challenge all drivers. Junior karts can reach up to 30 mph, while adult karts can reach up to 40 mph. Visit Bluegrass Indoor Karting to review requirements to race.
Open Racing sessions include an eight minute race. Race fees are $18.00 for adults and $15.00 for junior racers.Thrill seekers should check out the annual membership package. At $40.00 per adult and $35.00 per junior, it’s a good deal if you’ll be a frequent visitor. The package includes two free races at sign up and one free race during your birthday month. Home to the largest go-kart track in the world, Thunder Road is over one and a half miles in length! Guests tackle the track one lap at a time. Thunderbolt, the fastest kart, can be rented by ages sixteen and up for $6.00 per lap. Adult, Double-Seat, I-Roc and Junior Karts can be rented for $5.00 a lap. Kiddie Karts are $5.00 for a five minute ride and run on a separate Kiddie Track. Tracks are outdoors, make sure you check the Kart Kountry Facebook page on rainy days for current conditions and hours.
Guests can also enjoy a variety of other activities at Kart Kountry. Two 18-hole miniature golf courses are on site, complete with waterfalls and a volcano. You can mini-golf for $5.00 a round. Renaissance Fun Park
Let’s get straight to the point. Renaissance Fun Park is offering a Spring Break Special: $20.00 for an all-day play wristband. That means all you can ride and play from Noon until 10:00 p.m. on weekdays this week! The deal includes unlimited go-karting, mini-golf and laser tag for the day. Each go-kart session lasts 6 minutes and averages 15-20 laps. The normal price is $9.00 per session, so that Spring Break wristband is a great deal!
The Fun Park is home to two miniature golf courses. The Laser Matrix is a 5,000 square foot multi-level arena. Track your prey over bridges, through passages and up ramps.
