Louisville’s Hometown Tourist Celebration

In conjunction with National Travel & Tourism Week, the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau hosts this annual event each May. Keep reading to find out how you can benefit!

Over seventy seven local restaurants, attractions and hotels will offer large discounts for the remainder of May. All you need is a valid Kentucky or Indiana ID, a local college ID or a military ID. This is a great opportunity to fall in love with Louisville all over again. Our city has a lot of character, which is displayed through all the Hometown Tourist Celebration offers. Plan a date night, family night or late night out and enjoy!

Restaurants & Distilleries

Varanese restaurant is offering a special menu where two people can eat for $50.00. In Southern Indiana, Schimpff’s Confectionary will gift you with a free quarter pound of their cinnamon red hots. Not been to the Old Spaghetti Factory in a while? Enjoy a free cheese bread appetizer with purchase of an entrée.

The Hard Rock Café is offering a 15% discount on food purchases. Or, if you’ve never been to Art Eatables, enjoy a free sample and 10% off of a $20.00 purchase. If you’re craving ice cream, The Comfy Cow is offering one free topping with purchase of a large cup or cone. Graeter’s Ice Cream is offering free tours of their production facility with reservations.

Enjoy half priced tours Sunday – Friday at Maker’s Mark Distillery. Buffalo Trace Distillery will be offering 15% off all gift shop items at their Visitor Center. Wild Turkey Distillery is offering 10% of retail merchandise, not including alcohol. The Old 502 Winery is offering 10% off of all purchases, including wine.

If you’re looking for some outdoor fun, Green Earth Outdoors is offering a 15% discount on paddling rentals onsite at The Parklands of Floyds Fork. The Louisville Quest is offering a discount of 10% off a regular adult admission. If you want to combine water and being downtown, enjoy a cruise on the Belle of Louisville, where adult sightseeing tickets are buy one get one free.

The Derby Dinner Playhouse is offering buy one get on free tickets for select performances in May. Rather see the Louisville Ballet perform? Buy one ticket to Giselle, get the second ticket at half off. The Stephen Foster Story musical is offering buy one get one free tickets in May. Actors Theatre is offering a $50.00 discount on their 7-day play Brown-Forman Series season ticket packages.

The Louisville Zoo and Kentucky Science Center are each offering a $2.00 discount off of general admission. Many local museums, such as the Kentucky Derby Museum, Kentucky Show!, Kentucky Railway Museum, Frazier History Museum and the Muhammad Ali Center are offering discounts as well.
