So I must admit, sometimes I struggle to come up with creative ideas to blog about. Today I've decided to give a big web shout-out to one of my favorite restaurants in Louisville: Come Back Inn in the Germantown Neighborhood of Louisville. Come Back Inn has two locations: one in Germantown on Swann St. and one in Jeffersonville, IN. The Louisville location is open for dinner only from 4:30 pm until 10 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
This restaurant is a great place to go for modestly priced Italian food and a casual atmosphere. I have been there several times and have never been disappointed with the service nor the food. I have tried a few different pasta dishes and all were very well put together. I have also heard from other patrons that the restaurant also makes good sandwiches and pizza, but I cannot personally attest to it. My favorite entree is the pasta gorgonzola, with chicken, mushrooms, and pistachios in a gorgonzola cream sauce.

Antipasto Wontons: Filled with Italian cheeses, prosciutto, and herbs.
Crostini Florentine: Toasted Italian bread with suateed spinach, fresh tomatoes & melted mozzarella cheese.
Bruschetta: Garlic toast served with diced, marinated roma tomatoes & sauteed mushrooms.
Caponata: Traditional Sicilian salsa with tomato, eggplant & black olives. Served with pita chips.

Italian Crab Cakes: Spicy, served with garlic aioli.

Capo Insalata: Salami, capicola, mozzarella, provolone, olives, pepperoncini, and tomatoes on a bed of greens.
Grilled Steak Goronzola: Grilled steak, mixed greens, haricot verts, Roma tomatoes & crumbled gorgonzola with our Dijon vinaigrette.
Insalata Calabrese: Baby field greens with sun-dried tomato vinaigrette, sliced Roma tomatoes & fresh mozzarella drizzled with basil pesto.
Gyros Salad: Grilled gyros meat, calamata olives, pepperoncini, cucumber, artichoke hearts, tomato, feta, tzatziki sauce. Served with pita chips.

Linguine with Homemade Marinara. Add Meatballs and/or Italian Sausage.
Greco: Linguine, spinach, calamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes, red onion, feta, garlic and pine nuts served with an herbed olive oil.
Gorgonzola: Chicken, pistachio nuts, & mushrooms in a rich gorgonzola cream sauce.
Bolognese: Traditional Italian meat sauce over linguine.

Puttanesca: Linguine tossed with chicken, capers, black olives, Roma tomatoes, onion, garlic, olive oil and white wine.

#1 - Ride the Frankfort Ave Trolley Hop
On the final Friday of every month, the Crescent Hill neighborhood hosts the Frankfort Avenue Trolley Hop, where people can hop on and off a trolley which travels up and down one of the liveliest streets in Louisville. Riding the Frankfort Avenue Trolley is a great way to take advantage of all the great restaurants, bars, shops, and art galleries that Crescent Hill has to offer.
