Can anyone think of a better way to spend their weekend other than filling it with food, laughter and fun?? How about starting it a day earlier!

This Thursday  August 2^nd  - August 4^th the ‘large and in charge’ comedian Ralphie May will be performing live material at the Louisville Improve and Comedy Club Theatre located on 441 South 4th Street. This is sure to be a great show as Ralphie is a seasoned comedian having won second place on the NBC hit series Last Comic Standing, being a featured guest on the popular Wayne Brady Show, as well as starring in his own feature films including 2008’s critically acclaimed Girth of a Nation.

Having been born in Tennessee and raised in Arkansas, Ralphie has been interested in comedy his entire life. When he was seventeen years old he won a competition to open up for his idol, comedian Sam Kinison. Upon his Kinison’s suggestion, Ralphie moved to Houston, Texas to work on his comedy routine and it was only a short time later that he began to climb the ranks as a well-known professional comedian.  As a sign of Ralphie’s growing demand and fan base he will begin work on his seventh comedy special Too Big To Ignore which is to be filmed in October at the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee.

This weekends standup special is sure to be one to remember as Ralphie is known not only for his t.v. appearances and sellout crowds across the United States, but also for not shying away from the edgier topics that arise in mainstream American society all the while packaging them with a knee-slapping spin.

So if you’re looking for something fun and classy to do this weekend, come on down to the Louisville Improv and enjoy some laughs from the outrageously funny Ralphie May. Also, before and after the show enjoy good food, music and drinks at the other bars and lounges at Louisville’s Fourth Street Live! including Howl at the Moon, Sully’s Saloon and the Sports and Social Club which are located on the same street as the Improv and Comedy Club Theatre. With another weekend of live performances and great music, Fourth Street Live! is the place to be!

On Saturday July 28th, the Louisville Visual Art association will be holding a moving sale in anticpation of its move to a new headquarters. The Association's new home will temporarily be at 609 W Main St until the organization finds a more permanent situation.

The moving sale will take place from 8 am to 3 pm on Saturday at at the Louisville Water Tower, located at 3005 River Road. All proceeds from this sale will go to help the organization funds its moving expenses.
