10 Fun Things to do in Louisville During the Fall: #6 Go on the Danger Run

With fall upon us, I would like to devote a series of blog posts to interesting things that you can do during the Fall in Louisville. Without further ado I would like to present:

#6 - Go on the Danger Run

The Danger Run is a scavenger hunt type game that is played by following rhyming clues to get to two haunted houses by car. The clues are designed to determine an exact amount of mileage driven over the course of an evening and teams who guess the mileage correctly win prizes. Tickets for the Danger Run include admission to the haunted houses and every ticket puchased also gets free food vouchers from Dairy Queen. Also, cars with 4 or more people get a free $10 gas card.

I have done the Danger Run once before and it was quite enjoyable. If you are a fan of puzzles or haunted houses this would be a great activity to do with friends or family.

10 Fun Things to do in Louisville During the Fall: #10 Walk Through Cherokee Park

With fall upon us, I would like to devote a series of blog posts to interesting things that you can do during the Fall in Louisville. Without further ado I would like to present:

#10 - Walk Through Cherokee Park and Watch the Leaves Change Colors

When moving to Louisville, one of the first things that people find interesting about the city is Cherokee Park. The park is a 409 acre municipal park that was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, the father of landscape architecture. Cherokee Park has over 500,000 visitors annually, which makes it tied for the 69th most popular municipal park in the US, according to the Trust for Public Land.

The park's main draw is the 2.4 mile scenic loop that has lanes for both recreational users and vehicles, which makes it perfect for a leisurely stroll or bike ride. As one would imagine, a 400+ acre park has a lot of trees in it. One great way to take in the beauty of the park is to take a walk through it during the fall and look at all the beautiful fall foliage.
