The Animal House Volunteer Orientation

It's easy to see how much Louisvillians love their animals. It only takes a stroll through one of the city's many parks to spot the countless dog walkers enjoying a day out in the sun with their pet. While those of us with pets love to shower our own cats or dogs with affection, there are always some animals without a home that need care as well. If you have any free time this summer and would like to spend it doing something that can help those cats and dogs out there that are less fortunate, the Animal House on Newburg Road is looking for volunteers who can lend a helping hand.

Construction on the Animal House, a new pet care and adoption facility in Louisville, completed in 2009, and it has been caring for countless animals ever since. With the campus spanning over 10,000 square feet, the Animal House can hold a pretty good number of cats and dogs. Pets are always there for adoption--and you know what that means? The Animal House needs help. While money donations would certainly be appreciated, any physical help would benefit the Animal House tremendously. What would that help include? Well, if you do decide to volunteer at the Animal House, activities can include walking dogs, socializing cats, helping set up for events, and even representing the Animal House when you're out and about. If you have any free time this summer and love cats or dogs, why not stop by the Animal House and see how they can use you?

The Animal House Volunteer Orientation will be held on Tuesday, June 18th at 6 PM. At this orientation, volunteers can learn more about the Animal House and how they can help. No RSVP is necessary--if you're interested, all you have to do is show up! No matter what your availabilty is, any amount of help would be treasured by humans, cats, and dogs alike! Volunteering at the Animal House this summer (or beyong that too if you can!) is also a great way to meet other pet lovers in Louisville. The Animal House is located at 3516 Newburg Road.
