The Louisville Quest
There are so many sights to see in Louisville that trying to see them all may be a little intimidating. If you want to see just a portion of what Louisville has to offer, it takes some planning. There are so many different areas--the Highlands, Downtown, and St. Matthews, for example--with so many different things to offer. Thankfully, for those who want to see more of what's out there in the city of Louisville, there's an event with you in mind.
How convenient would it be to visit multiple Louisville attractions all in one day? It may seem a bit weird, but it makes sense when you find out what The Louisville Quest is all about. The Louisville Quest, an adventure that runs on occasional Saturdays from mid-April to mid-October, is all about getting Louisvillians to some of the most key locations in the city of Louisville. When thinking of something to compare The Louisville Quest to, the first thing that comes to mind is the show The Amazing Race. Have you ever seen it? Well, if you haven't, the basic premise is this--you and a team you've assembled have to get from one point to the next by either answering trivia questions or completing mini challenges. The goal is to get to the finish line as quickly as possible. The Louisville Quest will have you traveling to various famous locations in the city, answering questions and completing challenges to get to the finish line.
The great thing is that, while you're having fun and racing, you're also getting a great sense of the city. On The Amazing Race, contestants get to see the attractions of various international cities--for The Louisville Quest, obviously, the focus is on our city. Where will you be racing to? Well, that's kind of a secret...The Louisville Quest likes to surprise contestants every time. In the past, racers have visited places like the 21C Museum in Downtown, the Belle of Louisville, and the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts.
Your next question is probably this--what do I win? Well, unlike The Amazing Race where winners earn millions of dollars, The Louisville Quest will only win you bragging rights and token awards. The majority of the appeal, though, comes from the journey you'll take through the city--that alone makes the experience more than worth it. These token awards will be handed out at another surprise location revealed to teams as they finish the race. If you've been interested in seeing more of the city you live in with a few friends, why not participate in The Louisville Quest?
The next Louisville Quest event will be held on October 19th. If you'd like to learn more about how to register and where the race will be starting on the 19th, just visit the following link: http://thelouisvillequest.com/. Happing Racing!
