Weekend Events in Louisville Jan. 23rd - 25th

It’s Friday, and that means it is time to enjoy the weekend! Louisville has something to offer for everyone this weekend: music, basketball and yes, even a home improvement expo.

Once at the Kentucky Center

PNC Broadway Louisville has had a great lineup this season. It continues this weekend with the arrival of Once. This musical was awarded a Tony Award for best musical in 2012, along with seven other awards.

Guests will enjoy the musical, as the actors are also musicians who play live on stage throughout the performance. Once tells a beautiful story, full of music and romance. You’ll enjoy a variety of musical styles, including country, folk and rock.

Once is at the Kentucky Center through January 25th. Tickets range from $33.00 to $98.00. Please note, there is a seating hold of twenty-one minutes at the opening of the show.

John Mellencamp in Concert

Singer-songwriter John Mellencamp is coming to Louisville this weekend. This concert will be one of the first stops on Mellencamp’s Plain Spoken tour. Special guest Carlene Carter will join the tour.

The Plain Spoken tour will stop in town at the Louisville Palace on Friday, January 23rd. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Concert tickets range from $55.00 to $129.50 per person. All ages require a ticket. If you’ve not purchased your tickets yet, consider doing so online or by phone. Your ticket purchase will be accompanied by a digital download of Plain Spoken.

The Kentucky Home Improvement Show

Winter is here, and now is the perfect time to start dreaming and planning for your next home project. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with knowledgeable vendors at the Kentucky Home Improvement Show. The Kentucky International Convention Center will be full of experts to help you with your next project.

Vendors will include remodeling experts and builders. You can learn more about the latest products for your home, including exterior finishes, additions, kitchen products, flooring, windows and more. Bring ideas and your smart phone to take notes.

The Kentucky Home Improvement Show takes place January 23 – 25. Adult tickets are $5.00, ages eighteen and under are free.

University of Louisville Women’s Basketball

The Lady Cards are taking on the Miami Hurricanes this weekend! The Lady Cards are currently 17-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play. The Miami Hurricanes are arriving with a 14-4 overall record, and are 4-1 in conference play.

Head to the KFC Yum! Center on January 25th for tip-off at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $14.25.
